How old do I have to be to start? +
There's no minimum age for the online coursework — you can start the 231 online hours at any age, in any grade, any day of the year.
Do my parents have to sign anything? +
A parent or guardian signature isn't required to enroll. We do encourage families to enroll together — most parents have questions, and we're glad to answer all of them at (325) 646-4272.
Can I do the hands-on hours while I'm still in high school? +
Yes. Hands-on training and supervised clinicals can be completed at a TDLR-approved location while you're still in school — so you can finish all 500 hours before graduation.
When can I take the licensing exam? +
You can sit for the MBLEx and Texas exams once you're 18 AND hold a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Finish your hours early and you'll be ready the moment you qualify.
Will this fit around school, sports, or my job? +
Yes — the online portion is self-paced with a one-hour-a-week minimum, available 365 days a year. Study after practice, on weekends, or over the summer.
What does it cost? +
Online Only is $2,500 (the 231-hour portion), or the Full 500-Hour Program is $4,500 — the complete path to licensure. Both come with interest-free payment plans.
Where do the hands-on hours happen? +
At our Brownwood campus, or at TDLR-approved partner locations across Texas.
What if I'm going to college anyway? +
Perfect — take your license with you. A licensed massage therapist is the best-paid student job on any campus, and many graduates pay their way through college debt-free.
