“I was nervous going in… now I’m booked up and confident. The support made all the difference.”
Texas Massage Academy is a TDLR-approved massage therapist school with online massage therapy courses designed for real life. Start the 231-hour online portion today — from anywhere in Texas, or before you relocate — and we’ll map your path to massage certification (your Texas LMT license) through hands-on training at our Brownwood campus or a partner school near you.
You don’t have to uproot your life to start massage school. Our pathway is built for students who want real education and real support… while keeping their job, family, and schedule intact.
Texas requires 500 hours for a massage program.

Transfer from online learning to hands-on confidence
We don’t believe in leaving students guessing or scrambling at the end. This program is designed to transition smoothly from online learning into real-world practice to your new campus.
You focus on finishing strong online… we’ll help guide the next step.
Our online massage therapy classes are designed to help you understand the “why” behind the work… anatomy, technique foundations, ethics, and client care taught in a way that actually sticks. Self-paced evening study means you can become a massage therapist online-first, without quitting your day job — then complete your hands-on massage therapy training in person.
We’re actively building partnerships so students can start online and complete hands-on requirements closer to home. Some options may be available now depending on your area… and more are being added over time.If there’s a school near you that you’d like to attend, share this link with them. We’d love to explore a partnership and expand support in your area.

This is the foundation of your future… straightforward tuition, required books, and supplies that support your success from day one.

“I was nervous going in… now I’m booked up and confident. The support made all the difference.”
“The schedule worked, the instructors cared, and I stayed on track even with a long drive… worth it.”
“I needed something real… something I could build a future with. This program gave me confidence fast.”
“Every question mattered. They actually cared about my success, not just getting me through.”
A quick truth most schools won’t tell you: in Texas there’s no such thing as a fully online massage therapy certification. Your credential is a state license from TDLR, and it always requires in-person hands-on hours. What online massage therapy certification programs can honestly offer is the classroom half — and ours covers all 231 allowable online hours of the 500-hour requirement, with MBLEx exam prep support and license application guidance built in.
One more thing, since people search for it: massage schools in Texas aren’t “accredited” the way colleges are. The credential that actually matters is TDLR approval — Texas Massage Academy is TDLR-approved school MS1040. If you’re comparing massage therapy certification online options, that approval is the first thing to check, because hours from a non-approved program don’t count toward your Texas license.
